The World Through Time

A scrollable timeline of everything, from the first humans to the end of the Second World War. One rail follows the line of the prophets — Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad (peace be upon them), and the civilisations that grew from them. The other rail follows the wider world — Egypt, the Indus cities, Babylon, China, Greece, Rome, the Aztecs, the Industrial Revolution. Where the two rails sit side by side, those things were happening at the very same moment.

Click any entry and it opens the world map of that exact era — the real borders of the time, not today's. Hover any land and it tells you who ruled it then. Gold pins mark the places in the story, each with the name it carried then, the name it carries now, and its coordinates. Every age also carries its languages, its money, its daily life, its trade routes and its wonders — and a Moral Ledger naming that age's worst injustices and its fairest societies, whoever they happened to be.

Why it exists

Because reading history should not mean losing your place on the map. If you have ever read about a prophet, a battle or an empire and wondered where exactly was that, what is it called today, and what on earth was happening everywhere else at the time — that question is what this was built to answer. It assumes no background knowledge and no particular faith. Religious terms are explained in plain English with the original word in brackets, undated eras are left honestly undated rather than filled with invented years, and injustice is named wherever it occurred, by whoever committed it.
